Avoid the Dirty Dozen

As the Safety Committee for TWU Local 555, it is our goal to ensure that you are working in the safest environment possible. One of the leading causes of accidents/injuries is human factors.

"Human factors refer to environmental, organizational and job factors, and human and individual characteristics, which influence behavior at work in a way which can affect health and safety."

The information contained in this post from the FAA, and while it specifically talks about aircraft maintenance, the information is easily applied to our workgroups. It is important to remember that though human factors play a large role in most accidents, there is rarely just one cause of an accident.
